Revisiting the Origins of Electronic MusicConceptual project aided by AI2024
This project is set in an alternate history where Electronic Music originated in a jungle many centuries ago. All documentation about it has mysteriously vanished, but an archival publication by the LFO (Legacy Found in Oscillators) organisation reveals discovered artefacts that shed light on this hidden history. Examine the publication and Archival Recordings to uncover the secrets of the elusive Polyphon tribe.

This piece was part of an expansive project documenting an alternate history of electronic music. Studying how folklore and fabricated truths can be disseminated throughout history, this project questions how disinformation can be disguised under texture and historical aesthetics to be convincing. Elizabeth Eisenstein wrote that the fixity and authority of printed type is a way to shape belief: The qualities of preservation, dust, outdated type and colours lend themselves to be believable, when lies are presented within them.
